Your appointment toolkit

Walk in prepared, walk out with a plan. A checklist for before, during and after, the phrases that help, and a printable symptom tracker.

Ticked boxes are saved on this device only.

Before you go

During the appointment

Phrases that help

  • “This pain is stopping me from working three days a month. I’d like to understand why.”
  • “What would you need to see to investigate this further?”
  • “Could this be endometriosis / PMOS / adenomyosis? What would rule it in or out?”
  • “Could you show me the actual numbers on my results, and where they sit in the range?”
  • “If you don’t think a test or referral is needed, can you note in my chart that I asked and why it was declined?”
  • “I’d like a referral to a specialist (gynecologist, endocrinologist, pelvic floor physiotherapist).”

After, and if you felt dismissed

And come talk about it at a coffee chat. Others have been there and can share what worked.
